PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
I believe I hold a number of personal attributes that are beneficial for the teaching profession, and which I hope will assist me in becoming the most effective teacher I can possibly be. I have listed the following personal attributes in which I feel best describe myself as an individual, and which I intend to use as a future educator.
Honesty and Integrity: I have been raised with the sense of always being true to yourself and others, and have developed relationships built on mutual respect and trust. I want to develop the same relationships with students, colleagues and parents; relationships where we are both honest and integral to one another.
Positive self-esteem: I am, and have always been a very positive person, with the ability to approach each day with happiness and be grateful for how special my life is. I hope my positive self-esteem will reflect in my teaching, where I will be able to instil the values into students in order for them to have a positive view about themselves, their schooling and their life.
Commitment: I am very committed to everything I do, as I feel commitment is important in order to achieve the best in life. I know that I will be fully committed to being a teacher, including providing all children with the opportunity to achieve their best as a learner and ensuring that I am devoted to all aspects of the schooling life.
Enthusiasm: I am very enthusiastic when it comes to my interests. As I am passionate about teaching, I will ensure that my classroom has a high level of enthusiasm, where all students have the passion to be effective learners.
Loyalty: I would describe myself as a very loyal person, being very supportive and committed to the ones I love and the things I love. Therefore, as my role of a future educator, I will be devoted to ensuring that all students will be able to achieve their fullest potential in the classroom.
Kind and caring nature: Being raised to be kind and caring has reflected in the person I am today. I will ensure that my kind and caring nature is displayed in the classroom, where all students are equally important and respected. I will be kind and caring to not only students, but fellow staff members and parents.
Motivation: I am very motivated to become the best person I can be and achieve anything in which I set out to do. I want my motivation as a teacher to reflect in my students; the motivation that sees them wanting to reach their fullest potential as a learner.
Reliability: I am reliable in everything I do. This means I will always be there for my students, fellow colleagues and parents, whenever required. I will also be reliable in terms of my teaching, ensuring that I am always organised and prepared for each day.
