Background information
My name is Amy Henry and I am in my fourth year of completing a Bachelor of Education Primary course, attending Australian Catholic University in Ballarat. I originate from the small country town of Camperdown, located in south west Victoria, and have lived there my whole life. I come from a catholic background, and strong family unit, and am the eldest of three children, with two younger brothers. The way I have been raised has turned me into the person I have become today, and it is through the values and skills that my parents, extended family and teachers have instilled in me, which has led to me wanting to pursue a career in primary school teaching.
From a very young age, I have always wanted to become a primary school teacher, and as I grew older this passion continued to develop and grow. I have worked with children since I was 15, including through babysitting and coaching netball and basketball. It is through the interactions that I encountered with a range of children that I realised this was want I really wanted to do. I am very interested in seeing the children grow and develop, and now have the desire to leave a special impact on the children of our future.
